Troubleshooting

Work through common IceRiver miner issues.

Start with the symptom, then validate power input, network reachability, cooling, model identity, and firmware version. The error code reference below covers the most-reported codes.

Miner not found

Confirm the Ethernet link LED is on and the cable is seated. Verify the management PC is on the same subnet (for example 192.168.1.x). Check the DHCP server, then re-run IceRiver MinerTool to scan the local network. Press the IP button on the device for 1-2 seconds to display the address.

Low hashrate

Check ambient temperature first - throttling above 35 degC is the leading cause. Inspect the rejected share rate, pool latency, hashboard detection in the web interface, and power input voltage. Short-term variation under ten percent is normal.

High temperature

Improve intake airflow, remove dust from heatsinks and fans, and confirm both fans are running. Restore the fan curve to auto. Verify ambient temperature is below 35 degC and that nothing is blocking the exhaust path.

Power supply does not start

Confirm input voltage is between 170 V and 300 V AC. Reseat all PSU cables and reconnect the IEC cord. Try a known-good cable. If the indicator does not light, contact IceRiver support for warranty service.

Cannot enter web interface

Wait 1-2 minutes after power on. Confirm the miner has a valid IP via the IP button. Try a different browser or clear cookies. If the issue persists, perform a reset via the reset button and reconfigure.

Hashboard not detected

Open the device, reseat hashboard data and power cables, then power on again. Run for 12 hours to confirm the average hashrate. If the board still does not register, contact warranty service rather than swapping parts yourself.

IceRiver error code reference

These are the most-reported IceRiver error codes and the recommended first-line response.

CodeMeaningFirst-line fix
110/111/120/121Fan speed abnormalityReseat fan cable. Replace fan with original-spec part if motor is damaged.
140Fan overspeedImprove ventilation. Check for fan obstruction. Replace if persistent.
233-239Overtemperature protectionClean dust from vents and heatsinks. Lower ambient temperature below 35 degC. Tighten copper bar screws.
300-302Temperature sensor failureReseat hashboard cables. Replace defective sensor or hashboard via warranty.
350-352Overheat protection triggeredRemove obstructions around vents. Improve airflow. Verify both fans are running.
404Web interface 404 not foundWait 1-2 minutes after power on. Reset the miner if the page still does not load. Re-flash firmware as last resort.

Hard reset procedure

  1. Unplug the network cable from the miner.
  2. Press and hold the reset button until the D3 and D4 indicator lights start flashing simultaneously.
  3. Wait until the D3 and D4 lights stop flashing and remain steady - the device is now in a reboot-ready state. Do not power off during this phase.
  4. After the miner reboots, plug Ethernet back in and reconfigure the pool, worker, and password.

If a firmware reflash becomes necessary, verify the exact model first and never interrupt the upgrade process once it begins.
