Before you install
- Use a Windows system on the same local network and Ethernet broadcast domain as the miners.
- Confirm your miner model and current firmware version from the device web interface.
- Have your pool URL, worker name (Kaspa or Aleo wallet address), and password ready before configuration.
- Use a 7z extractor (7-Zip or compatible) to decompress the downloaded archive.
System requirements
IceRiver Monitor and MinerTool are lightweight - any modern PC will run them without issues.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit recommended). Windows 7/8 also supported.
- Ethernet adapter on the same subnet as your miners (e.g. 192.168.0.x or 10.0.0.x).
- Local administrator rights to allow ARP and broadcast scanning.
- 200 MB free disk space and a 7z extraction utility such as 7-Zip.
How to use the software
Each tool follows the same simple flow: install, scan, then act on the discovered miners.
- Download the .7z archive and extract it to a permanent folder, for example C:\\IceRiver.
- Run the executable with administrator privileges. The first launch may trigger a Windows firewall prompt - allow it for private networks.
- Press Scan or Search to enumerate every IceRiver miner currently visible on the local network.
- Select one or many miners and apply pool credentials, change pool order, restart the device, or upload firmware.
- Open the miner web interface from the tool to review live hashrate, error logs, and firmware information.
